While some fans might be disappointed with the eagles basketball season, I am very happy with the progress they have made in one season under the direction of Coach Donahue. Noone expected them to have finished as high as they have in the conference, let alone be sitting on the bubble for the tourneyment. I'm looking forward to seeing how the coach's recruits will do in the 2011-2012 season. Reggie Jackson will be a senior and I'm optimistic that they will exceed expectations again. The flex doesn't work. It's ugly watching our basketball team play half court offense and that's on you. Losses to Harvard, Maine, and URI are unacceptable. And the laid back attitude that you show for this mediocre team is also unacceptable. You look like you don't care half the time. We need some fire, some emotion, and players with heart - and BC has none of all 3. PLEASE RESIGN. Category: NCAAB Tags: Boston College

If we can't drive to the basket and score on short jumpers or layups, if we don't maintain control of the ball, if we can't set up a play at half court without using up 15 seconds on the possession clock, if we can't try to draw a foul on the way to the basket, and if we won't press the opposition's ball carriers as they bring the offense up to the half court line, we are going to lose, and lose big in this conference this year. The lack of size and toughness is not helping us under both boards either. I'm glad I'm going to home games to watch college basketball first and rooting for eagles second. It's tough when half the fans in the building are rooting for the visiting team, and their half is making more noise in support of their team than we are for ours. Here comes U.R.I. Hopefully our team is learning from each game, win or lose. The Rams are good competition as we get closer to the start of the intensity of conference games after the first of the year. Getting our team 100 % healthy now should improve our performance going forward as well. We need to achieve better results inside the paint, and our foul shooting has got to be superlative, particurlarly in the second half. Go Eagles ! The conference appears to be open to any number of teams. Hopefully, B.C. will be in the mix going forward. Category: NCAAB Tags: B.C. Eagles Basketball
